ETV Enterprise Monitoring System (EEM)

The EEM is a monitoring system for analysis and auditing of MPEG transport streams containing EBIF applications.

An EEM configuration consists of a number of Linux servers each running one of the following software component combinations:

A minimal configuration comprises two Linux servers each running one of the above configurations. A standard configuration of the Monitoring Station supports analysis of 6 SD and 6 HD services so it is recommended to use multiple Monitoring Stations to match your input stream capacity.

For auditing purposes, EEM stores data about detected EBIF applications an a mysql database known as the Activity Database.

The configuration of the entire system is administered through the Management Station UI. This subsystem allows definition of multiple Monitoring Stations each of which can receive multiple transport streams.

The Management Station also includes definition of global settings, currently the location of the Activity DB and the e-mail addresses to which monitoring alerts will be sent.

A standard configuration of the Monitoring Station supports analysis of 6 SD and 6 HD services.
